Ceylon Curry Bar Cafe & Restaurant is a hidden gem tucked away in Dandenong. The food is outstanding. We went for the all you can eat option which included fried rice, rice and curry, and egg hoppers for $22. There is also an all you can eat hopper option for $15, but I would definitely recommend the former as it is well worth it. The standouts were the egg hoppers, chicken curry, lunu miris, and the Sri Lankan fried rice. My favourite, though, was the unique Sri Lankan fish curry. It was very different to anything I have had before and clearly a chef special. To top it off, the gentleman who greeted us was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience even better. I would definitely come back again.
If you're craving real Sri Lankan home-cooked taste, this restaurant is the best place. The flavours and aroma instantly reminded me of traditional meals back home rich, authentic, and full of heart. Every dish felt like it was made with care, just like how it's done in a Sri Lankan kitchen. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and everything is kept very clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy genuine Sri Lankan food in a welcoming setting

The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic Sri Lankan flavours that really hit the spot. Every dish was full of taste and beautifully prepared. If you love genuine Sri Lankan cuisine, this place won’t disappoint. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which makes it even better. And a special mention to Crunchy Hoppers — easily one of the highlights of the meal! Fresh, crispy, and cooked perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Sri Lankan food with great service and great value. Will definitely be coming back!
We had delicious Sri Lankan food at the Ceylon curry bar. We tried the buffet and were not disappointed. There was an amazing spread that included hoppers and it only cost $22 per person. To top it all there was dessert as well. Plenty of seating and it was getting busy by the time we left around 8:30. Lovely staff.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the whole night even better. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, you can really tell they care about the customer experience. A fantastic hidden gem tucked away in North Dandenong. This place offers a great mix of authentic Sri Lankan flavours, and I highly recommend the buffet — it’s the perfect way to sample a wide variety of delicious dishes without breaking the bank. The restaurant is very clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth seeking out if you’re in the Dandenong North area.
Great little Sri Lankan joint. The food was full of authentic Sri Lankan flavours and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The parippu was comforting and perfectly spiced, the string hoppers were soft and light, and the pork curry was a real standout with rich flavour and tender meat. The chicken curry could have been a little more flavourful, but it was still enjoyable and clearly cooked with care. It worked well alongside the sambols and sides, which added great heat, texture, and balance to the meal. The buffet style setup makes it easy to try different combinations and really enjoy the food at your own pace. What really elevated the experience was the service. The two older gentlemen were genuinely kind, welcoming, and very accommodating. They took the time to explain dishes, check in regularly, and made the whole experience feel warm and personal. The only small improvement I would love to see is a bit more variety in lamb, veg and seafood dishes, but overall the experience was excellent. A fantastic spot for authentic Sri Lankan food with genuine hospitality. Easily a 5 star experience and one I will happily return to and recommend.
